Recreation

Lake Massapoag is one of the Town of Sharon's most valuable natural resources. In summer, it is a popular place to swim, kayak, paddleboard, sail, fish, boat, tube, waterski and picnic. Some winters, when it is cold enough, people enjoy ice skating, cross country skiing, and ice fishing.

The Sharon Recreation Department (sharonrec.com) provides multiple lake-related recreational opportunities and provides information on their website during the spring/summer seasons.  Registration for summer youth swimming instruction and sailing programs opens early spring at sharonrec.com, scroll down for summer programs. You can view  the Spring-Summer 2023 Program Guide for detailed registration information.
